Hi there! Well, we are into the Lenten season and I am excited for it. A lot of times we can look at this season as a new beginning for us. It is also a time for reflection and helping us to be better people. I don’t know how many of my readers are aware but I am a Catholic school teacher. This means that Lent is a big part of our class and teachings for the next 40 days. I wanted to share with you some of the things that I am using in my class, and also some ideas for older students as well.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS REFLECTIONS FOR OLDER STUDENTS
First I have created this activity for the older students. I would say that it is more appropriate for students 6th-12th grade however it can be used as a whole group activity for the younger students. With this activity students are assigned Google Slides and they read the passage from the station and write a reflection about the station. It is a great way to have students see themselves in Jesus and help them to see their faith. It is a wonderful way for them to reflect this Lenten Season. There is also beautiful clipart so that students can have a visual of what was happening during this time.

LENT: I HAVE WHO HAS – CATHOLIC GAME FOR KIDS

I LOVE this game for students. It is such a great way to teach them about their faith, and have them better understand what Lent is all about. This game has 32 cards so there is enough for a class. Each card has an answer about Lent and students need to decide if they have the correct answer. Think of it as a Lent Jeopardy game. This Lent game will keep students engaged and excited to learn about their faith.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS: I HAVE WHO HAS LENT GAME

Similar to the I have Who has game posted above this game is specific to the Stations of the Cross. There are not as many cards in this game since it is about the stations however it is still a great game. You can pair students up if you have a larger class and they can work together to determine if they have the correct card. This game will walk students through the Stations of the Cross and they will need to remember the stations and what happens at each of them.
CATHOLIC BINGO FOR KIDS
Who doesn’t love a good Bingo game? I know that my students go crazy when we play bingo and this one is sure to be a hit with your students as well. There are 30 cards total with a variety of images. There are also calling cards for you as the teacher. The images are colorful and crisp for the students to see and they will love to should BINGO! when they cover their whole card!
CATHOLIC SAINTS FOLDABLES
Lent is also a wonderful time for students to learn about the Saints. Sure, they know the “famous” Saints but this will help them to dive deeper into new saints that they may not know. These Saint foldables are a great way to have students learn more about their Catholic faith and the Saints that go with it! There are 39 Saints that are currently included but I am going to add 39 more for a total of 78 saints! What a bargain! Assign them during Lent or any time of the year for your students to learn more about their Catholic faith.
NO PREP CATHOLIC SAINTS COLORING PAGES
For our little learners we have the Catholic Saint coloring pages. I love these because they can be for big kids and little kids alike. Fine motor skills are something that we work on a lot in the classroom and coloring is something that strengthens the students hands so much. I have also included the feast day on the paper so you can use them during that time as well!
LENT NO PREP STATIONS OF THE CROSS BOOK AND POSTERS
This mini book and posters are a great way to teach the stations to your young learners. The clip art is colorful but also age appropriate for your students. It will walk your students through each of the stations and you can discuss them with them. The mini book is in black and white for your students to color as they learn about the stations of the cross. Use this as a whole group activity, small group activity or spread it out over the Lenten season so that they can learn a little each week.
CATHOLIC SAINT NO PREP COLORING DOLLS
Last but certainly not least are these NO PREP Catholic Saint Coloring Dolls. I love these dolls because they are so precious and have the name of the saint on the bottom. This is a mother wonderful way for you to teach your students about their faith. These dolls come in black and white as well as color. I love to use the color set in class for the students to play with, and then we color the black and white set to take home. This is such an age appropriate way to teach about the Saints to young learners.
