Stitch Fix Review #5

It’s here, it’s here! My July Stitch Fix box came in earlier than the others…why? Because it’s my birthday week! I wanted something fun to wear for my birthday so I had my box delivered a little earlier than usual and lemme tell ya sister, I am SO glad that I did! The only problem with this box? I LOVED it all, again. I really did. This is going to be a tough one to decide what to keep…and if I am going to send anything back! Also, for the next 48 hours you can get a $50 credit on your first box with my referral code!

What is Stitch Fix?

For those of you who are new to the blog or to Stitch Fix here it what it is about.

Stitch fix is an online styling service where you can have your own personal stylist. When you go to Stitch Fix you will see that it is free to sign up. You can create a profile with clothing preferences. You also get the opportunity to put in your size information. When you are all done with that, you can schedule your first fix! Once you schedule your first fix you will pay a $20 styling fee and you will be matched with a stylist. They review your profile and hand select 5 items for you. The Stitch Fix box is then shipped to your home for free. Once you get the box you have 3 days to review the clothing and return any unwanted items. They even send you a return envelope to make it easy and free to return your items! One part about Stitch Fix I love is that if you purchase anything from the box, your $20 styling fee is deducted from the clothes that you keep. Ready to try it out? You can sign up for Stitch Fix today and build your profile.

Stitch Fix Review Item #1 : Cobalt Floral Romper

Oh these rompers get me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I was not a romper girl until I met Stitch Fix. In fact, I didn’t have any rompers and Bonnie has sent me 2 and I LOVE them both! This romper is so darling and has a great balance of light weight, but also heavy. It feels like it is really well made but at the same time it is breathable. I love that I can wear this during the day as a fun outfit but then pair it with a jean jacket (that I do not have haha) and wear it as a date night outfit. I also love the fit of this romper.

I love that even with my legs-which are a little thicker than some- I am still able to feel confident in this outfit! This romper has an elastic waistline which I also really like. It has room to move in and I feel really comfortable. The price point on it is a really great one as well. For $48 I am not sure you could find a better one!

Ready to take on the summer BBQ in style!

Review of Stitch Fix Item #2 : Tie Front Top

The next item that I saw in my box was this tie front top. I do not own one of these either, and I was skeptical with it. I had NO idea if I was going to like this top or how it was going to fit me. The first thing that I noticed when I took it out of the box was that it was soft! It was a great material and it felt like it would fit well. I was still skeptical so the only way to be sure if it was my style was to try it on!

This top did not disappoint! I really liked the fit, and I thought that the sleeves were great. They are flowy and really nice for summer. It was not a clingy top either which I really liked. I am not one for body hugging apparel. I was hoping that I might be able to wear this top to work but I do not think I would be comfortable with it. It either showed chest, or my tummy just a little. Nothing over the top, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable with the students. It would be great for a date night though!

Review of Stitch Fix Item #3 : Red Jeans!

I have mentioned in my last 3 Stitch Fix Reviews that shopping for jeans can be a real pain in the neck for me. These jeans are so cute and a great color. I would say that they are a darker red than this and not as vibrant. I was wearing them with the tie front top and they matched really well. Bonnie always does a great job and making sure that my items can go together, as well as by themselves and this was a great outfit.

These jeans fit so wonderful that I do not even think that I would need a belt to keep them up. That is a win in my book!

These jeans with this top make a great transition outfit as well. It can still be worn in the summer time but also makes for a cute fall outfit as well. The jeans were just the right fit, and I loved that they were a little more high rise than others, making it easier for me to move around and feel comfortable sitting. These jeans are great but I can’t wear jeans to work, so that is why I am thinking twice about them.

Review of Stitch Fix Item #4: Polka Dot Top

Ok seriously, I feel as if Bonnie read my mind with this top! Earlier in the year I was cleaning out my closet and I had a darling top like this. However it was older and it had to go and I have been on the hunt for a top similar to it for a long time. This top is JUST what I was looking for! It has a great cross body front that is full of coverage and is really flattering.

I paired this top with a pair of Vigoss jeans that were in a previous fix that I was sent and it was a match made in heaven. This outfit makes me feel put together and cute, all at the same time. There are certain outfits that I feel my age in and that is a good thing. This is not an outfit that is immature and I feel like even with jeans I am a little “fancy casual” Paired with some really cute sandals this would be a great for a night out or party outfit.

I also love the sleeves on this top! They are fun and the high low on them matched the high low on the back of the shirt. Which, can we discuss that for a minute? There is nothing worse than a shirt that looks great and then doesn’t cover your bum when it looks like it should! This shirt hits just at the right spot so you are covered when you sit down. Can you tell that is what I am into right now? I don’t want to be hanging out all over the place when I stand up!

Review of Stitch Fix Item #3 : Striped Sweater

Talk about a teachers dream. Cardigans are my favorite of all time. I love them all I have yet to find one that I do not want to own. Seriously. They are my go to and if I could have 100 of them, I would. Thankfully Evan keeps me in check with my cardigan obsessions. This one was simply perfect though. I love that it is longer and the sleeves were also a great length. It was a light weight cardigan despite being one that is longer. I could wear this in the summer in the evenings and have just enough warmth.

I paired this cardigan with a pair of white jeans that I got in my box last month and it was a great match! The navy top I also have is close to 100 years old, so you do not need a close up of it! I felt really good in the cardigan and it was easy to move in as well.

I thought that you could also pair this with a pair of shorts if you were cold in the summer time, but then I decided against that idea since most of the time this was longer than the shorts that I own. Hey girl, if that is your style though I say rock it!

All in all I loved the items that were sent. Here is a break down on the pricing as well:

  • Marisole Romper : $48 – Return
  • Tie Front Top: $38 – Return
  • Longsleeve Knit Cartdigan: $38 -Return
  • Colored Skinny Jeans: $58 -Return
  • High Low Blouse: $42 -Keep

Stitch Fix Review #5 Conclusion

So, I loved this box. I loved everything that was in it, and I can really see myself wearing each of these items. I also felt that this was one of the most affordable boxes that I have received and that made me happy to see. The quality and the items were all great. Why did I only keep one top from the box? I am looking forward to continuing Stitch Fix! If I buy every item, every time, I am going to have a hard time justifying this fun styling to Evan! I will say that he also loves Stitch Fix and feels that it gives me a great look. This was my last “summer” box and next month I will be going for more looks I can wear to work!

I do spend my own money when I do a Stitch Fix box so it is not always financially responsible for me to buy the entire box even if I want to! I try to make choices based on what looks good but also what I can wear in a variety of ways. I am really excited for the next box since I will be gearing up for back to school and asking for some items that I can wear both in and out of the classroom.
