girls-night
Let’s get this party started! GIRLS NIGHT!

Hey sister! How’s it going? This week I want to chat all about girls night. I am happily married and have been for nearly 10 years (can you believe it?!) and I do love to spend time with my husband. One thing that I do think is really important though is hanging out with your girlfriends. People have said that when you have strong relationships, you are a strong person. I believe this 100%. I will be doing a post in a couple weeks about spring cleaning your relationships so stay tuned for that too! For now, let’s dive into 7 fun ideas for a girls night!

GIRLS NIGHT IDEA #1

GET TOGETHER FOR A GAME NIGHT

Who doesn’t love a game night? I know that I love to go over to my friends and play silly games. However, I don’t want to play Candy Land when I am there, I want to play a fun and crazy game with my girls. I have a few that I really like to play. And I will forewarn you that they are NOT for children. These games are 100% meant to be played by adults and adults only. Here are my Top 3 games. You can grab them on Amazon!

These 2 Party Games are for sure going to be a hit for your girls night in. We are big fans of this game. Again, these are NOT for children, and should be played when your kids aren’t around! They are a great time for you and your girls though. They will have you laughing until you cry! You can grab CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY HERE and WHAT THE MEME? THE GIRLS HERE.

Who doesn’t love to shake things up?

GIRLS NIGHT IDEA #2

HAVE A MAKE YOUR OWN COCKTAIL PARTY

If you like to try new things this would be an awesome girls night! I will say that I do not think that this will be the cheapest way to have a girls night in though…depending on how much alcohol you buy for it! I was scouring Amazon and I found a pretty awesome book:

Check out this book on Amazon!

I thought that this book looked pretty awesome when I was going through everything. This would also be a great book fora girls weekend, or even a bachelorette party. There are so many fun drink ideas in it! Don’t want to go with the hard stuff? You can also have each friend bring a bottle of wine in a paper bag and rank which one you all like the best. It is fun to see how good a cheap bottle tastes when you don’t know it’s cheap!

Shake it off Sister! This idea is great!

GIRLS NIGHT IDEA #3 :

HOST A DANCE PARTY

So you used to be able to go to the club and dance until 2am in heels that were sky high and a dress that was oh so sparkly. Not your thing anymore? Me either sister. I prefer to stay home and be comfy but that does not mean that I don’t like to dance! YouTube is the place to be when it comes to finding awesome music and videos for you to dance along to. You can also use Spotify and find an awesome playlist. (like the 80s!) and have a jam session to that music. Whatever your style, you can find it on Google. I promise you that. It is always fun to let loose with your girls and this is a way to do it!

GIRLS NIGHT IDEA #4

HAVE A GLAMOUR SHOTS PARTY!

I really wish that I could find my Glamour Shots from 1994 or whenever I did them. I was looking sooooo good. Why not bring back that feeling with a glamour shots night? Again, head over to YouTube and find some makeover video, give it your best shot and then take your best shots! This is fun for women of any age. It is so silly but something that is a lot of fun. If you are moms and want to do a mom daughter girls night in with some friends this would also be a really fun idea! If you wanted to you could also have your daughters do the mom makeovers to have even more fun! Imagine how beautiful you would be if you let your 6 year old apply your makeup! There are a few ways that you could do this girls night in and I say try all of them!

There are so many awesome books out there to read!

GIRLS NIGHT IDEA #5 :

BOOK CLUB

I admit it. I love to read. I really love to read. I have audiobooks when I drive home, physical books on my shelf and ebooks in my kindle. (psst…if you need a kindle, grab it here!) There are so many ways to read a book and if you have enough time, you can do this as a girls night. I am apart of a book club and I have been for the last 2 years. We pick a book a month and we read it. We always get together to discuss. Let me tell ya sis, when I miss book club I get really bummed out. I love coming together with women to talk about a book and get someone else to tell me what they thought. It is so funny that we all read the same thing yet take away something completely different. Are your girlfriends not into books? There are also ways to join a book club online, or you can start one in your community? Nothing wrong with reaching out to other women asking if they want to hang out!

A vision board is an amazing way to see your future!

GIRLS NIGHT IDEA #6

HOST A VISION BOARD PARTY

A vision board party might sound a little intimidating at first. After all, you are going to be discussing your dreams and your future self. What if your girls laugh at you? What if they think your dreams are crazy? Well then, they aren’t your people. If you are afraid to tell someone your wild and crazy dream in fear that they will criticize you and make fun if you then I suggest you take a long hard look at that relationship and decide if that is someone you want to have in your life. BUT when you do have the right women over and you are there to support each other and have a blast with your vision boards then this is so awesome. So how can you make a vision board? Well, if you want to read up on that then you want to go to my friend Kayse Morris of Teaching on Less. She has a fantastic blog post on how to create a legendary vision board. She has some really good ideas on how to make it your own.

Make it a fondue fun night with your friends!

GIRLS NIGHT IDEA #7

FONDUE FUN!

Who doesn’t love fondue? I know that I do! Add the fact that it can be cheese OR chocolate and I am sold! I love it all. I think that this is such a fun idea for all your gal pals. Here is a great tip as well: you don’t need fondue pot, you can use mini crock pots for the fondue! Melt the chocolate or the cheese and then place it in the crockpots to stay warm. I like to use this crockpot:

This crockpot is small in size for easy storage!
There is a lid for storing leftovers as well!

This crockpot is awesome for smaller dishes and the best part about it is that it has a lid on the inside as well so you can store what is in it for a couple days. This also helps with clean up as well and you do not have to worry about having a ton of leftovers. With a few of these you can have some really yummy treats. You can also make it “healthier” with fruits and veggies to go with the cheese and chocolate that you choose.

GIRLS NIGHT, ANY NIGHT!

Whatever you choose to do with your ladies, whether it be a big night out or a simple night in there is always one thing that you need to remember: you need to have a good time! Sometimes I know I have had a great night just hanging out with my friends. Not going to lie though, we have had some great times out and about as well! Wherever you are in your life it is so important that you have friends you can rely on and have fun with. If you have that, you are doing alright for yourself!
